As a Chemist/Senior Chemist, you will work closely with the R&D Head on various Custom Synthesis and Process Development projects for different kinds of Intermediates, API end products, Specialty Chemicals and Fine Chemicals.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Understand the project requirements & deliverables from supervisor/manager, as specified by client
• Understand the reaction protocol and search literature as required
• Comprehend and discuss the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) with supervisor/ team members
• Identify and mitigate any potential safety risk with the help of supervisor
• Efficiently delegate work and monitor team members for effective planning, execution and delivery
• Plan and execute reactions independently with proper reagents and equipment (glassware, stirrers, vacuum pumps etc.) maintaining specified conditions (temperature, pressure etc.), with optimum usage and minimum wastage
• Ensure parallel execution of multiple reactions conducted both by self and the team
• Monitor progress of the reactions by using standard methods and analytical techniques
• Identify and execute appropriate workup and purification technique to produce an intermediate/ final compound of desired quality
• Analyze analytical data, comprehend results and identify the issues
• Troubleshoot as appropriate for successful execution with intimation to supervisor and guide juniors/team as required
• Document reactions, research findings/ observations accurately in lab note books as per client requirements to ensure data integrity
• Maintain strict IP Confidentiality and adhere to all related data privacy policies
• Prepare weekly/ monthly/ final reports as required

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Organic Chemistry
• 0-3 Years of experience in Process Development and CRO organizations
• Good communication skills
• Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies

• Business Development in Domestic and International markets for bulk drugs/APIs, Intermediates and Fine Chemicals.
• Responsible for managing business development and marketing strategy
• Develop new customers and maintain existing customer relationships
• Conduct periodic market research on various products and markets
• Provide documentation and VQ support as required
• Conduct periodic meetings with buyers and potential leads in addition to regular follow-up with customers
• Convert leads and inquiries into sales
• Knowledge of Intermediates, API & Fine chemicals industry in Indian and global markets
• Ability to achieve Sales Targets & Develop new business rapidly.
• Co-ordination with Customer from order to payment cycle and ensure highest level of Customer Satisfaction.
• Sales and Registration of APIs in various countries.
• Project management and Coordination with internal departments for smooth operations
• Directly report to the Senior Management of the company.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in API, Intermediates and Fine Chemicals Sales & Marketing
• Candidate should have good knowledge of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries
• Result oriented & Dynamic person with good presentation and communication skills
• Should have good business development & negotiation skills
• A combination of Chemistry and Management education is preferred.
